May 2010 - Dave Anderson and Tom Pertierra travel to Nashville to meet with Kathleen Wolf, LinAnn Welch, and members of the Tennessee Division of Archaeology.

April 2010 - The Tennessee Historical Commission awards the grant for research.

September 2009 - Shane Miller meets with local resident Kathleen Wolff and Bell Bend Outdoor Center manager LinAnn Welch to scout out the area for future research.

August 2009 - David Anderson, Shane Miller, and Tom Pertierra submit a proposal for a Historic Preservation Grant from the Tennessee Historical Commission.

July 2009 - Aaron Deter-Wolf (Tennessee Division of Archaeology) and local resident Eric Woolridge take David Anderson, Shane Miller, and Erik Johanson on a kayak tour of archaeological sites on Bells Bend.
